The Great Alaska Craft Beer Festival returns May 22–23, 2026—and tickets are officially on sale as of March 1st!

After an unforgettable 2025 weekend filled with great brews, good company, and a little Haines sunshine, we’re getting ready to do it all again. If you’ve been before, you know… and if you haven’t, this is your year.

Great Alaska Craft Beer Festival 2026

May 22–23, 2026 | Haines, Alaska

Set against the backdrop of the Chilkat Mountains, this long-running festival (est. 1992) brings together over 25 breweries, cideries, and distributors from across Alaska and the Yukon. It’s a weekend built around community, creativity, and some of the best pours in the region.

Hosted by the Southeast Alaska State Fair, Beer Fest draws visitors from across Alaska, the Yukon, and beyond—making it one of the most anticipated weekends of the early summer season.

The Gourmet Brewers’ Dinner | 6:00 PM
A limited-seating, multi-course dinner paired with regional brews. This one fills up fast—plan ahead!

🍻 Saturday, May 23, 2026

12:00 PM – Connoisseur Tasting
Early access with a smaller crowd and more time to connect with brewers.

1:00 PM – General Admission Tasting
Four hours of great beer, local food, live music, and that signature Haines energy.

5:00 PM – Taps Pulled
Beer Fest wraps up right on time!

In Town Camping

Want to camp close to the festival fun during Beer Fest weekend? 🍻🏕️

First-come, first-served camping will be available at Tlingit Park and the Port Chilkoot Dock Beach during the 2026 Great Alaska Craft Beer & Home Brew Festival in Haines, Alaska.

Guests are welcome to prepay online ahead of time, or simply pay upon arrival using the onsite QR code or by stopping by the Haines Visitor Center during office hours.

Please note: Camping at these locations is only permitted during approved special events and only for the dates listed above.

About the Festival

The Great Alaska Craft Beer & Home Brew Festival made its debut in 1992 and has proudly grown into one of Alaska’s most anticipated events. Organized by the nonprofit Southeast Alaska State Fair, proceeds from the festival help support year-round community programs and events in Haines.

The weekend kicks off Friday evening with the Gourmet Brewers’ Dinner—a multi-course culinary experience that pairs locally inspired dishes with exceptional brews from across the region. Saturday begins with the Connoisseur’s Hour, offering early access for beer aficionados to enjoy a quieter tasting environment and talk shop with the brewers before the general admission crowd rolls in.

The festival also hosts one of the most competitive Home Brew Competitions in the region, with brewers vying for the coveted Best in Show award. From newcomers to seasoned experts, this event showcases some of the most innovative and delicious homemade brews in the North.

With its friendly atmosphere, incredible views, and lively mix of music, food, and festivities, the Great Alaska Craft Beer & Home Brew Festival is more than an event—it’s a reunion. Many guests return year after year, making memories and raising a glass to the good life in Haines.
